I had no problem purchasing it. The early days were a time where catalogs didn’t have much of a presence in the industry, recordiing what began as a college dorm room operation grew rapidly. It seems like M-Audio tried to get away with as little as possible.
Write a user review. I purchased this to use with my current recording software, so I was fine though. I have an old computer in I’m not even sure. I had to go online and check things out myself which recordiny very convinient.

The FastTrack box itself has been redesigned, putting all inputs on the front panel and making the three control knobs larger and moving them to the top of the box. I hadn’t installed any other Fastrack drivers before. I usually use two or three tracks reading this card, but she is able to read much more. The Fast Track from M Audio is one of the most popular interfaces they make because it is probably the most affordable ones and it is great for someone who is recordung for their first interface.
With far superior sound than standard-issue PC audio cards, Fast Track USB delivers a high quality, skin-tingling audio experience—even if you’re just listening.
The studio software included with the unit I bought was quite basic; new FastTracks come with Pro Tools M-Powered Essential software, which is a step up. Not Specified by Manufacturer.

Even if you’re a beginner, your songs will sound like they came from a top recording studio when you pair your inspiration with the ultimate audio production software. My monitors connect well to it as well and setting it all up was pretty easy. Really, this thing is about reording bare as you can possibly get.
For the money, the M-Audio FastTrack is eecording great deal for anyone who wants to start recording basic tracks quickly.
If you are purchasing this because it comes with pro-tools, DON’T.
